Final Blog

 One of the major natural hazards is the war going on there right now due tot he impacts of the weather since it gets warmer down which can cause flooding for a lot period of time along with droughts that can be not so great due to the impacts of the people that are currently living there. Droughts have caused Ukraine to have rivers going down since there is not enough rainfall to water it. Flooding has caused most of the disaster has come from how much is going into the water pipes that is affecting the people that live there. 

This is a priority due to the fact that the droughts can have an important impact on who ever lives there and can have a high  percentage of a number of how much time since the war in Ukraine there is not enough of water for you to have for your family since there is not enough drinking water out there. Drinking water is hard to find in Ukraine since there is not enough places you can go to such as a store. The global impact is when the country has  ben impacted by this war and the reason is that water and the other sources of food are hard to find. Water sources such as pipes need the people to drink lots of fresh clean water.  

  Since the beginning of the war Ukraine has had weather extremes also for the fact that climate change has impacted the country like being able to help such as launching a project on disaster risk DRR helping recovering from all these different types of disasters that occur there like the climate being warmer and lots of the air temperature is being  more hotter than previously recorded. The war has caused major hazards and risky risks like for example the impacts of the amount of fire power that has destroyed the area of where people live and needing to find supplies which they can not find right now and there is US Military out there making sure that all the civilians stay put and know their assignment. The civilians also will get their assignments since the war has been going on for a long time and the amount of fire power is pretty destructive. 

Where I would my house is Kyiv because it is a beautiful place that is. great place to live the people are super nice their the neighbors can be very friendly and super chill. The place where no chemicals are polluting where the home is for it to be safe from the war protecting it with a sheet of paper so it helps reduce being harmed from. My house would include a bed and a room so I can put my stuff there.

Here are my references that I found they are pretty interesting and helped me stay connected since I know what it is like for you to have to struggle through the war. The impacts of the climate change has increased how warm it is down in those areas many places have more hotter temperatures then other homes and surfaces that you can walk through there. In all these sources I found out that the war has the most impact of Ukraine since every time there is some sort of chemicals and pollution that can be bad for you.

Ukraine risks of extreme weather events

Ukraine has  Ukraine has extreme weather and the biggest one being flooding Nova Kakhovka dam breach in Ukraine which at that time put thousands of lives at risk June 6 is  the day that this all took place.. Making the already dire conditions faced by Ukrainian people even worse. Entire villages have been swept away. The affected communities have been cut off no water and electricity. In Ukraine two million without power due to the flooding that took place. They were four related deaths and they have been confirmed by the media. This event occurred on November 27 2023 heavy flooding took place there due to the cause of the storm  that took place.  In Ukraine flooding is by far very likely a damage to the area since all the water has been put at risk and the drinking water as well. Week 5 Volcanoes in Ukraine

 Yes Ukraine has had volcanic activity in the past and currently has one active mud volcano: Starunya mud volcano Located in in the Ivano- Frankivsk region, this mud volcano is the only active volcano in Ukraine. It became active in 1977 after an earthquake in Romania's Vranca Mountains. The volcano's activity is a result of human activity, as the flooding of mines after oil reserves were exhausted caused the melting of rock wax and the heating of methane. The volcano is sensitive to earthquakes within a 3,000-6,000 km radius. Volcanic  activity in the past  Ukraine experienced volcanic activity related to the Caledonian and Hercynian orogenies. Basalt and alkaline volcanic rocks intruded into the Dnieper-Donets rift zone during the Hercynian orogeny.  In the past Ukraine has had volcanic activity.
