Ukraine faces many environmental risks, including mass wasting, which can be bad  and destructive:

Landslides
Ukraine has many natural hazards, including landslides, which can be caused by a  variety of factors, such
as lithologic and stratigraphic conditions, hydrogeological regime, and the geomorphology of the slopes.

Climate Change
Ukraine is becoming more vulnerable to natural disasters due to climate change, including heavy precipitation, mudflows, floods and heat waves.

Infrastructure damage
The war in Ukraine has damaged or destroyed industrial facilities, including mines, chemical plants, and factories that hold hazardous substances.

Waste management
Without proper waste management infrastructure, waste can pile up in informal landfills, contaminating the soil and groundwater.

Debris removal
Removing debris from the war can create health and environmental risks, including exposure to asbestos and contamination of water quality.

Other environmental risks in Ukraine include:
Contamination of natural habitats from munitions and troop  movements
Pollution from damaged industrial facilities
Deliberate targeting of hydropower dams to cause flooding
