     Coastal erosion is a serious problem along the Black Sea coasts.  19% (800 km) of the coast is experiencing erosion rates higher than  1 m/yr  Lack of proper coastal erosion management strategies, regulations and frameworks in the riverine countries.  Need for integrated basin scale MSP and ICZM approaches. The Ukraine coast  The Ukraine coastline is 2,700 km long and includes the northern and western shores of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov The coastline may be divided into eight  areas. Landslide eroding shores made in cliffs made of clay rocks ,typical for the north - western Black Sea coast and also the Sea of Azov. The lowest erosion rate was a few centimetres pear year.
